Carlo Acutis: Catholic Church's 'Gen-Z Saint'

The Italian teenager who earned the nickname "God's influencer" is set to become the youngest saint in recent history.

Pope Francis has recognized the second miracle needed for the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, who died of leukemia in 2006.

The miracle attributed to Blessed Carlo Acutis is related to a woman from Costa Rica who was suffering from a serious illness. After praying to Blessed Carlo, she was miraculously healed. This healing was investigated by the Vatican and determined to be a miracle, paving the way for Carlo Acutis' canonization.

Carlo Acutis was born in London in 1991 to Italian parents. He was raised in a devout Catholic family and developed a deep love for Jesus Christ and the Eucharist. Carlo was also a gifted computer programmer and used his skills to create websites and applications to help people learn about the faith.

In 2006, Carlo was diagnosed with leukemia. He offered his suffering to God and died a few months later, at the age of 15. Carlo's example of faith and courage inspired many people around the world, and he was beatified in 2020.

The canonization of Carlo Acutis is a reminder that holiness is possible for people of all ages and backgrounds. Carlo's life shows us that we can all be saints, if we only open our hearts to God's love.
